Championing Texas Public Schools: Deann Lee on Raise Your Hand Texas' Mission

Join me for an insightful conversation with Deann Lee, Regional Advocacy Director for East Texas at Raise Your Hand Texas. Bringing more than 32 years of experience as a teacher, administrator, and retired superintendent, Deann offers firsthand perspective on the challenges and opportunities in Texas public education. We explore the heart of Raise Your Hand Texas' mission: creating a vibrant civic culture where everyday Texans vote, engage with lawmakers and neighbors, and come together to champion high-quality public schools for all 5.5 million Texas students. Deann discusses how the organization educates communities, activates advocates, and pushes for policies that invest in students, foster innovation, promote equity, and prepare kids for college, careers, or military service. This episode is a must-listen for parents, educators, policymakers, or anyone passionate about the future of public education in Texas.
